The word meek refers to mildness, gentleness of spirit, or humility and assumes power under control. A truly meek person has the right to exercise his power to do something, but chooses not to do so for the greater benefit of someone or something. The truly meek person views himself as a servant of God.
In the workplace and in the world, the most powerful, clever and arrogant seem to be winners, but in personal relationships, they can often be lonely, driven by an imagined need to find security through possessions, money or power.
The earth has become the location of the kingdom of heaven. Those who submit themselves to God, accept his love and try to extend that love to others, have made themselves part of his kingdom. It is a kingdom built on the outpouring of love that is centered on God.
God is the strength of the meek person who submits to Him as his child. The meek will receive their everlasting reward when God returns as judge whose reward is life with him forever.
